Their wording muddied the waters a bit. He wasn't a Special Forces surgeon. He was a former Special Forces Soldier who became a surgeon. Lots of folks make a career change at some point in their lives.
I didn't think he held both jobs at the same time, but that's a big career change.

All a moot point now, though. They have apparently found a body that is probably his.

Maybe it's just me, but isn't a trauma surgeon and military weapons expert in the Army's Special Forces a bit of an odd pair of jobs to have in the military? This guy sounds like he's going to be big trouble when someone finds him.

That's not a good way to celebrate the U.S.Army's 237th Birthday.
