Because sometimes it's just too hot. Now, I do keep it concealed in my front yard, but do not in my fenced backyard. Most of my backyard has a chain link fence. However, most of my back yard is not visible to the public even with only chain link. However, the leather place obviously doesn't count for a Wally Walk, but ToysRUs might be good enough, especially with a kid depending on the age. If your son is under 6y it might qualify as the level of difficulty goes up with young ones because you never know what they are going to do or say.
+1 on the don't ask or inform someone of their non-compliant sign. Just go about your business with your cat that ate the canary grin. You may or may not want to give them your business in the future, but that decision is up to you.
