Well, hopefully, some kind officer will take pity on me and not cite me for this if I'm ever stopped. It's really more of my inability to comply than ignorance.

Okay, I couldn't find any exception, but I did find the following:
Sec. 502.404. OPERATION OF VEHICLE WITHOUT LICENSE PLATE OR REGISTRATION INSIGNIA. I'm wondering if it doesn't apply to those who drive a "truck" and not a passenger car or commercial vehicle? Otherwise, I don't know what to do. The mounting bracket can't even be mounted.

Getting ready to go out, but when I get back I try and find the statute.
