Totally understand. I remember when I was "guarding" the flight line at Cubi Point one night in the Phillipines. One of my planes, Tomcat, was on the beach and I was standing fire watch from 0000-0400 with a flashlight and a night stick. Nothing happened. However, later the next day we find out that a couple of prowling SEALS picked up an armed local trying to sneak on base with some explosives to try and blow up one of the planes. So, now I'm thinking, "what in the world am I doing out here with a flashlight and stick?" I'm starting to feel a little like a canary. Thankfully, we pulled out of port a couple days later and I didn't pull another watch until then.MadMonkey wrote:Yeah, I work nights for a company here in Grapevine. They commission all of us, but we're still not armed... so I carry (in my vehicle) to and from work, but not AT work. Most of us are CHL holders too, so it's weird for us to be disarmed at the place we're supposed to be protectingC-dub wrote:I don't understand this statement. Are you a security officer where you work? If not, then does that mean you CC to and from work and that in your "security" capacity you are not allowed to carry a gun?MadMonkey wrote:Sad that as a security officer I carry to and from work but I have to disarm AT work
