I think the double spring does a good job taming recoil in the 26 but felt recoil is a very personal thing. Rent one at a range and decide for yourself.

I don't notice a difference IWB behind the hipbone and the 26 is too big for pocket carry (for me) but I think it's a great size for a fanny pack or AIWB.
