Re: Thoughts on Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan?
Oh yes, I've shot it. :evil2: Ruger comes out here with a demo team annually, to an event at our large outdoor range. I've been to two events now, and Smith and Glock were also there. To Ruger's credit, they have the most enthusiastic staff, and they welcome youngsters to come shoot. Anyway, they br...

Re: Possible to "visit" Ruger in Prescott, AZ?
I had that saem hope when i first visited AZ in the 90's before moving here. The nice lady in reception sort of chuckled at me. She explained that they would need to field two more full-time employees to handle all of the requests that they get for that.

Re: Kahr P380 vs. Sig P238
Pocket carry? Kahr Belt carry? Sig You pick your poison with those, I think. Handled both at the NRA Show, and was impressed with both. One thing on the Sig, however. ALL 5 examples on hand at the show had thumb-safeties that I just couldn't leverage into the ON-safe position with my firing hand's t...

Re: Mossberg semi-automatics
I had two of the 9200 series Jungle Guns. They were only supposed to work with double-ought. Mine didn't seem to know that. They would cycle all the way down to #8 bird loads, held week-hand, upside down, and limp-wristed.: In hindsight, I SHOULD've learned to live with it's one bug-a-boo, the...

Re: Sig's P250
You did GREAT! & in related news..... SIG SAUER, the leading manufacturer of military, law enforcement, government agency and commercial firearms, will resume shipping all standard commercial pistols with two magazines. SIG SAUER suppliers increased production to meet the heightened consumer dem...

Re: Sig's P250
flybenny, you must've happened upon a law-enforcement gun. For one thing, I know of no commercial Sigs which come with THREE mags. Second, the P250 HAS NEVER shippped commercially with a spare. Now, ALL commercial Sigs are being shorted their extra mag {one ONLY now}, ostensibly to fill LE back-orde...

Re: first range trip, new-to-me Ruger LCP
I just read through all of the LCP Recall thread. It was touched on briefly, but are there reasons to buy the LCP at a premium over the P3AT?

Re: Kahr P380
I have been looking for the Kahr P380 ..Nobody seemed to have them anyway...LOL. I am beginning to think it doesn't exist. EXACTLY the sentiment I voiced to Frank Harris of Kahr when I met him at the NRA Show. They are HEN's TEETH here in Az. Strange, as I've seen spare MAGS for the gun in several ...

Re: Upcoming S&W 22LR-cal AR15
Gun is poly in both upper and lower. Fondled it extensively at the NRA Show. Charging handle works the entire bolt, just like its centerfire kin. Mags are sweet, and IIRC, they said it will come with two. The only thing NOT exactly like the feel of a typical M4 is the weight, due to the poly.

Re: FN AR
A recent acquaintance posted .5MOA w/his, and he was ecstatic. Mags ARE the downside, at $75 each, or thereabouts.

Re: Travis Co. judges: No guns in court for LEO's!
I've spoken with the same deputies twice now on visits to my local courthouse here in Phoenix. They happen to be very CCW-friendly, and did ask if I was LEO. Long and short of it is this. Our own Chief Justice issued an edict that NO LEO shall be armed, OR in uniform if entering the courts on person...

Re: NEED HELP!!!
I visited the Visayas there in January. The security guards were universally armed with revolvers. I think I saw markings on several indicating Taurus-Rossi, or perhaps Llama manufacture. Some looked like nothing more the paperweights, or could only be viable in that role.. :headscratch The exceptio...
