I'll tell you what. Anyone who complains about the price of crab, deserves a punch in the face.
I totally have a complete respect for the guys who do that job after watching Deadliest Catch.
Those guys WORK THEIR BUTTS OFF for their living, and it's like, a 1/1000 chance of dying each year for each one of them.

Re: Negative Trooper Encounter
Also, it is far from 'the most dangerous job'. It's actually #10 on the list.jlangton wrote:My turn.kw5kw wrote:
Please cut them some slack, they have the most dangerous job,
off soapbox
If I remember it correctly, officers make a conscious decision to CHOOSE their career.
Nobody cuts me slack when it's 130+ degrees in the attic and they want service work done on their residence or business, and I don't expect any.

I knew what I was getting into when I signed the dotted line for Uncle Sam that gave him 4 years of my life, I can only assume that LEO's know the same.

Re: Negative Trooper Encounter
Maybe if you pulled out a CHL badge, they wouldn't have a problem identifying you as a Good Guy...
... Yes, I went there

Re: Negative Trooper Encounter
This is the reason I'm weighing the costs of fitting my vehicles with cameras and audio recording equipment.
As it is, if I ever get pulled over, The first thing I will do is hit 'record' on my phone, and set it on the dashboard in front of me.
Chances are, I won't need the recording, but in the chance I do, I'll have it.
Right now, it's your word vs the two of them on this issue. With audio or video, now you have a better case. Especially if the video shows you were not going anywhere near 72mph.
I figure If i installed a system that basically captures the driver's seat, with a mostly clear view of the speedometer would be ideal. You could do it with 1 or 2 small bullet cameras, and all you would need is like, 12 hours of storage. If something happens that you need the video, you'll pretty much know immediately.
If you filed a complaint, if the officer was Mic'd, and there was video from their cruiser, perhaps it would show your case better. And only filing a complaint will guarantee that data gets saved.
