Just dropped by, hoping to see this list disappear into the dustbin of history, but oh well.
Haven't done an official Wally Walk yet, although I have been in one for a quick errand.

Re: April 2009 Applications
Hm... I just logged back in and now it says "Processing Application" again. Very strange... Perhaps I went to the wrong site as you guys say; regardless, it looks like I'm back where I started. Hopefully the email I sent won't confuse them.

Re: April 2009 Applications
OK update, and not for the better. Going onto the site, I get:
"The data you have submitted indicates you may not be eligible for this service. Please verify the data submitted is correct. If you still cannot proceed, please contact DPS at 1-800-224-5744 or email chl@txdps.state.tx.us for more information."
Has anyone seen this? I've sent them email and I'll call them in the morning to try and find out, but I figure I'd ask if anyone has seen this before.

Re: April 2009 Applications
Mine was received in Austin on or about April 25th (been so long, I might be off by a day or so), and the online status is still "Processing Application". Haven't called yet (not really my thing to be impatient).USA1 wrote:the April bunch has been quiet lately.

OK, moved to "Processing Application". No idea when it switched, since it's been a few days since I checked.stsai465 wrote:Yes, I presume that is the case. I'm just posting as a matter of comparison, so those of us on pins and needles can compare the respective timeline as it develops. With luck, in a few weeks, I will have mine "being processed".dleewo wrote:Keep in mind that DPS got my application about 3 weeks before they got yours and mine only just changed to "Processing". When I mailed it, I sent it w/ confirmed tracking, so I know the packet was received on April 24. I filled the app out online, so I got my PIN when they mailed me the app, but apparently they haven't started on my packet yet (fingerprints/photos/class completion/affidavits/etc).
At this point, I hope they lollygag a little, since my birthday is July 9th, and as I understand things, the renewal date is your b-day anniversary, so if it goes into the system after the 9th, I will get an extra year before I have to renew.

Re: April 2009 Applications
First post.
I dropped the whole packet in the mail (class completion, online app, prints, photos, etc) and checked with the post office to confirm that it was delivered April 24. However, like a lot of you, my online status is still "Packet mailed to applicant". So here I sit with the rest of you.
Different tangent that I asked on another forum; while you're waiting, have you guys already purchased your CHL gear (quality gun belt, holster, etc)? Some of that isn't trivial in cost (upwards of $80-$150 combined), so I wonder whether people who are here get their stuff while they wait or do they wait for the actual plastic before buying their gear?
