Re: I'm sick of it, just sick of it.

All I know is, I'm really tired of seeing what 'hope and change' is turning this country into. I happen to agree with Rush on most things, and I really think he is exactly correct in his view of most things political. There are a few guys out there who are really frightened at what is going on in ou...

Re: 12ga 00 buck available

The plated shot doesn't flatten out from the pressure inside the barrel. It retains it's round shape which keeps the flight pattern more 'true'.

I'm thinking about switching my SD ammo to the Federal load that has a shot cup, and is plated. It keeps the pattern VERY tight and should be devastating.

Re: 12ga 00 buck available

Wally World frequently has Winchester 00 buck unplated for about $8.00 for a box of 15. It works flawlessly in both of my shotguns.

For self defense, I use the Winchester copper plated 00 buck.

Re: Opinions on Pocket Guns (aka fake guns...)

I'm not sure I would make my first gun a small mousegun. If you want to keep the size down, I would opt for something like the Keltec PF9 (which I own) or maybe a Taurus 709. The Keltec is thinner, and has a rail......and is very concealable. In fact, it's the thinnest 9mm you'll ever buy. It's not ...

carrying in a stadium or large venue

I'd like to be reminded what the law is on carrying somewhere like Texas Stadium, the AAC, The Ballpark in Arlington, or even a smaller venue such as the Dr. Pepper ballpark in Frisco - somewhere that there is a professional sports team playing. I can't recall if it's just not allowed, or if it depe...

Re: Grapevine Mills Malls Posted valid 30.06

I believe sangloves to be 100% correct. The law is very clear, the specific verbage from 30.06 must be posted, in English and Spanish, for the sign to be valid. I don't believe this to be a legal restriction of a CHL holder. All it tells me is, no ugly handguns allowed here. For the record...

Re: Introduce yourself

Joel, not sure what part of Dallas you're in.....there is Bullet Trap in Plano, DFW Gun Range in Dallas off of Mockingbird, and for an outdoor range, there is Elm Fork off of Luna Road in Dallas.

Hope this helps.

Re: Arlen Specter switches to Democrats.

Specter showed his true colors when he voted for the stimulus package with the other two turncoats. The writing was on the wall for him to not get past his primary, so looks like he quite openly jumped over to the dark side. I hope he gets trounced in 2010.

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry

Nice to meet you.....the holster is a Crossbreed Supertuck - really comfortable. The ammo is the Corbon PowRball - I worry about expansion coming out of a short barrel, and the PowRball is a really good load that WILL expand.
