It is a ashame but the management at the Post Office is driving people away. Trust me, My Wife DOES NOT LIKE ASKING YOU ALL THOSE QUESTIONS, each and every time. They MAKE her do that even though she knows you are a repeat customer who does the same thing everytime you come up. Are you tired of that? Then everytime they do that, ask for the post master and COMPLAIN!!!! OK Off topic, just trying to help my wife here.Abraham wrote:Our endless discussion of carrying at the post office won't last all that much longer as they're going the way of the buffalo.
Instead of trying to compete with greater efficiency, improved timeliness, lower cost and the other free enterprise systems responses to competition, the Post Office has simply gotten worse...
The end of this institutional awful is something their management can look at in the rear view mirror of history and wonder why they didn't get their stuff together when they had the chance.
UPS / Fed-Ex - E-mail/ Internet Banking & Bill Paying etc., is eliminating the once required need the Post Office provided.
I'll be a little sad when this once admired institution is gone, but it's time is overdue...
The post office is not going away but it's service will become less needed as Abraham notes. there is way more going on there than you know. I hear it every night and glad to let her unload her woes. Business models are affecting them and theirs is not really working I think. We will see
On topic, I do go there at times to pick up my wife for lunch etc and that is an issue for me. I do wish the Post Master General would address it as a federal position that would then give state law etc a solid stance to see how it works into the federal. My 2 cents. (please mail more and support my wifes' pension, thank you! )
