This guy gives a poor impression of LEO's. Either he was misquoted or he is simply ignorant of the law. "Young people" are not allowed to carry weapons. You have to be over 21 (18 with limited exceptions). And if he considers a 21 year old to be too immature to carry a gun, then we need to fire a lot of the LEO's in this country.
Where is this quote from? I don't see it in the article or in the video on the article?

So this former Harris County Deputy may not have any ties with Katy at all? He was just a bystander that walked by and commented
Maybe this is why he is a FORMER Harris County Deputy Sheriff.

Go back and read penal code 46.035 again. Read all the way down to section (i).
