Re: Wife just stopped by Childress PD

I text my daughter to tell my wife don't forget to hand over her CHL since this was the first time she has been stopped since she had it but it was to late.
Good suggestion on a letter to the chief complimenting the officer.

Wife just stopped by Childress PD

Short story long, my wife and kids are on their way back from Gunnison CO after joining me up there this week to escape the heat. I just got back yesterday after flying my boss there. The kids wanted to play in the mountains. we even found some snow to play in at the 12000 level of Mount Crested Butte.
Back to the story on their way home on the second day of the 20 hour drive ( 2 hour flight for me but I am not rubbing it in). she was on the phone with me this morning telling me one of her tail lights wasn’t out (fast blinking on the turn signal) and that no auto parts stores were open yet to buy a bulb. (The Expedition requires removal of the lens assy. with a torx bit to access the bulb). About 15 minutes after hanging up one of my daughter’s text me "someone’s been a bad girl along with a pic of the LEO's car that had pulled her over. After the stop my wife called me and told me the LEO ask if she knew why he had pulled her over, she replied "because my tail light is out) to which he replied yes. After giving him her DL and insurance (she forgot to give him her CHL) he went back to run the info and upon returning he ask if she was carrying to which she replied "yes, I never leave home without it" (P-250-9MM with 16+1 and a spare mag of 16 she carries for road trips only but I am working on that), he replied good to hear gave her a warning and pointed her in the direction of he auto parts store which he said was about to open.
My thanks to the courteous officer with Childress PD
