curious, don't know much about shotgun loads. what is the benefit of plated shot in a self-defense round? As an example, Academy near me sells some sort of Remington "home defense" load with BB size shot that are plated or heavier than normal or something. On sale it's still $19.99 for 10 rounds. What makes this better or more lethal than regular BB size steel shot that is used for duck/goose/turkey hunting and sells for $15 for 25 rounds?texastaurusguy wrote:Wally World frequently has Winchester 00 buck unplated for about $8.00 for a box of 15.
