Ok, I'm not clear on something. Are the fingerprints used for the initial ID verification or to keep on record for future ID verification or even matching prints taken from a crime scene?

There is a hand lotion product that I've seen/heard mentioned
that plumps up those little lines and gives you a better print.
I don't recall the brand but I'm sure someone will.
Also, another thing that helps is to be well hydrated before the
prints are done. Maybe with the combination of both, you'll have
better luck.
One more thing...I know with ink prints, the person taking them
can add a note that reads something to the effect of "best possible
prints taken".
