This was during a training excercise/publicity stunt where we were supposed to be acting as the criminal element to make a fed agency look good. Well, several of us got voluntold to play along during our leave time so we figured that being on leave and all, and still being forced to do this, we might as well have a good ol time. Has any officer here ever had their patrol vehicle stolen? Well, there's one fed who has. Unfortunately for him, this was caught on camera and he had to ask for some help from his fellow officers to help him retrieve his SUV for him. Along with the 6 "prisoners" he had handcuffed in the back, and the "attack dog" (as he called it) who was sitting next to me in the passenger seat when i stole his vehicle. I only took it a couple miles out away from the site of the "theft" and had enough headstart to release my team mates and walk back to our vehicles, along with his dog. I ended up being friends with several officers in this department and last i heard he still hasnt lived that down. No charges filed, but plenty of laughs all around, well, with one exception....
