Hey, Obama's been great for gun rights... He signed National Park carry into law! Not to mention all the guns that were bought and CHLs obtained because he was elected...ScottDLS wrote:No thanks... I'll vote for Obama instead. He is truly leading the charge for gun rights.raptor wrote:I think the special session shows what his priorities are. If that matches your priorities (anniversary celebrations are more important than saving innocent lives on college campuses) then go ahead and vote for him.

In a choice between Obama and Perry yes. But that's not the choice we have in the primaries.
I really wish Gov. Perry would add campus carry to the special session too, but even if he doesn't he still has a strong history of supporting gun rights. I think he'd still have my vote right now in the primaries based on what I've seen of the other candidates.

No, there's nothing restricting Gov. Perry from adding it to the session if he chooses to.Monker10 wrote:I am wondering the same thing. Maybe I am missing something but is there something that restricts it from being added. It's just my thoughts but if Perry is considering a presidential run he's going to not want to address "controversial issues" to be able to get undecided independent voters on his side. i would feel better if he would handle this now. As much as i hate it sometimes you need to play the game to get your foot in the door.I may simply be overlooking it, but I have not found much discussion by the members of this forum regarding the possibility of Campus Carry being included in the Special Session.
Is this now considered a dead-horse issue? Did the bill step in the proverbial pile?
