Re: Taurus TCP FTE

I personally still would not trust the gun to carry. If I'm having to do things like keep my hand way up on the gun, keep a stiff grip, and do an extended break in on the magazine, so that maybe my first two magazines will work correctly I would not be comfortable carrying the gun.

Making two magazines work 100% in a controlled setting at the range is one thing, but what happens if you have to draw and fire one handed with your weak hand and you're just lucky to even have a grip on it at all much less check to make sure you're all the way up to the beavertail?

Unfortunately, this seems to be a frequent problem with Taurus semi-auto pistols. I don't have a TCP, but I have a PT-111 and have the same types of issues you're talking about here. I too can make it work at the range, but I will never ever trust that gun enough to carry. I've just had too many issues with it. There are too many other good guns like Glock, XD, M&P, etc that will fire every time no matter how you grip it, to take a chance on the Taurus. It looks like based on your signature you also have a Glock. I'd stick with carrying that or maybe get a small snub nose revolver for something smaller.
