Hey everyone,

I was just wondering how many rounds you guys shoot out of a gun, before you are confident that it will not jam on you, and it can be used as a CCW (assuming you are accurate enough with it, it can be concealed , etc.).

I like to put 500 flawless rounds through a gun before I am confident enough to carry it for self defense. I really have no good reason for this, except that the first gun I started carrying gave me problems after ~400 rounds, and I figured I would at least make any other carry gun pass 500 rounds before I would carry it. I know its not a good system and I guess if it happens again I will have to bump that number up again to gain confidence in my next gun.

What do you guys like to do, and any reasoning behind it?
