Ticket or not, sounds good. He wasn't stressed or distressed. Probably more distressed about having to get out in the weather.

Re: Taurus informal poll
I have a PT917SS. Awesome handgun. Absolutely no problems. Even used for a tactical handgun class. 1600 rounds in two days. Absolute reliability. Wish those guys with their Sig's, and even a Glock or two could say the same thing in that class. Even during failure drills, it operated smoothly.

Re: Posting of DPS office?
I may be incorrect, but according to our instructor, the only place to get the CHL statutes is online. Those are the most current, up-to-date statutes. I keep a link on my computer so that I can reference any time I need to. Now, I realize that doesn't help you while in the car, but keep a current c...

Re: Army Surplus Store
With all the previous posts, there are still those little dark hole-in-the-walls. After joining the TXSG, it was recommended to go to the Army/Navy Surplus store in Farmers Branch, just south of Valwood. The store is run by two of the nicest people. Very helpful in anything that you could want. Of c...

Bass Pro in Grapevine had quite a bit of .38 Super brass. Sadly, none of what I was looking for.

Re: Super-small UPS
The uninterruptable power supply (UPS) is a battery backed-up unit. Most smaller units do nothing more than monitor the incoming voltage. Typically, when the voltage gets down into the 92-95 volt range is when the trip point takes over and goes on battery. Most smaller units are what are actually te...

Re: Super-small UPS
One thing to consider when making your decision on size of UPS. Some of the larger ones, in the 500 watt range, have line filtering. Line filtering will help better and keep a consistent voltage to your equipment. While the UPS will give you back up power, the smaller ones will not 'clean' the incom...

That statement means that your application is complete, and you have been approved. You can not carry until you have plastic in hand. It should not be more than 5 to seven days before you see your plastic.
Congratulations and welcome to the "card carrying membership".

Amazing.....an 18 year old can carry a weapon for our country but can't be licensed to carry one in Nevada.
Where's the logic there?

Re: Opinions on the best set of screw drivers...
I use the smaller ones from Home Depot. Quality is good and don't cost too much. And, if they ever decide to take a vacation without me, there is usually an HD not far away. The local one here has also the electronics/jewelers type as well. I have a set of them for tweaking. I also purchases a set o...
