My status actually changed to Application Complete - Certificate Issued when I checked this morning ( July 4th). A little strange to have received the CHL before the status changed on-line. Obviously the status is not always updated the way you would have expected it to. My status also changed over...

That's where I took my class.

I just had to call DPS....I called them and to my surprise I was told my license was approved and it's being sent to be printed and issued.

The website still says "Processing Application" so I guess it's a little out of date.

I can see myself getting more and more anxious as other June applicants get their CHLs. I'm not even in Harris county!

I've been pretty patient so far, but now that my wife has had her CHL in hand for a week now after having submitted her application 1.5 weeks after me, I'm starting to get impatient. I've been checking every day now as opposed to once a week before. I can't imagine why she should get done any faster...

My wife received her CHL in the mail today!!! She submitted her application about 1.5 weeks after I sent mine in. I'm still waiting. We've lived in Tarrant county for 3 years and in FL for the 2 years before that.

She has never checked her status online so maybe that's the secret :-)
