I applied from Harris County. DPS received my packet on 1/26/09, I just heard today that it was accepted and issued. Now waiting on mail. Total of 101 days so far and I had no problems, contacted Senator and District Rep. You probably would have heard from them by now if there was some problem like missing information or bad photographs.

A good trick to count days, use MS Excel. Put start date in cell A1 "1/26/09" in my case. Then put current date in cell A2 "5/7/09". Finally put this in cell A3 "=DAYS360(A1,A2)" without the quotes. This will give you the number of calendar days between the two dates.
