a few things come to mind
the armored driver isnt paid enough to put his life on the line for the loot, as long as no one else in his purvue is in danger, and even then???

the next thought is the drivers company policy may be to let the truck go to save lives , this one is probably most likely.
let the law enforcement take the charge to retrieve the truck or its takers

drivers dont have a protect and serve position, like the police. they only are to pick up and deliver money or other valuable cargo.

trucks have gps and i would think a remote shutdown feature through qualcom or the companies dispatch, maybe even a LOCK YOU IN feature for bad guys??
