As a user what do you use and thoughts on price point spread!

Mike
it has to be prescribed by a doc
VA prescribed it to me , they are actively trying to get vets off meds (pain and antidepressants) if possible
my chiropractor was really glad to hear i had one, he thinks the world of the technology
its made in mineral wells https://www.alpha-stim.com/

https://www.alpha-stim.com/product-cate ... ha-stim-m/ prices
1299.00
https://www.alpha-stim.com/healthcare-p ... -research/

i imagine deductible apply for device, not sure which insurance will cover it. tricare said no, but VA said yes, so medicare should follow as its all government
it comes with lifetime renewal of consumables and i bet the gov got gouge a bit on price.
even at 2k it saves money the 1st year from no meds
pain probes take a few days of everyday to see actual relief and the ear clip brain things turn on the drain and let all the bull of the day or ever seem to go elsewhere.
you have to try to see the results, 1st times is everyday for 2 weeks then you do it once or twice a week, or you can use it everyday and no limit to how many times per day for pain . recommended once per day for the brain stimulation part, 1st few times it makes you feel like your on a boat and sort of have sea legs, then they turn down the power and it is pretty much unnoticeable
Did the VA provide one for you? Should I ask my PCP for one, or a specialist?
yes VA provided it, you have to get a consult for phys therapy and they do the intial tests and show you how to use it, then they issue you one takeas bout 6 weeks to get all the stuff done .

if you are under VA medical care, a simple email to your primary and gt the ball rolling

Re: 'We do not understand what antidepressants are doing to the brain exactly'

i have a drug free thing for "not playing well in sandbox"

is an ALPHA stim machine that uses alpha waves to help you flush the piles of crap that build up in your mind from shock, trama, events etc
its old tech from the 80s and has no side effects other than allowing you to sleep restful .
it got me off VA meds to make me sleep restful and be able to dump the crap that floats around keeping you awake, which in turn makes you irritable and stuff
i was on Vicodin for over a decade, i could make dr house look like an amateur in its regards at how it made it act, feel and treat others.
now
20 minutes a few times a week for last 3 years.
it also has got me 99% off pain meds for my back, wrist and shoulder. this alone is a wonderful thing
it gave me my life back in regards to chronic pain and the associated issues with chronic pain.
i can visit my chiropractor once a week vice getting pills
drug companies tried to keep these devices off market, because there is very little cost after initial set up. less than 20 bux a year in supplies compared to 1ks in drugs

it also has pain probes in the same alpha waves , truly amazing tech

i imagine my kidney and liver are happy now as are my family and friends . i am back to being the wonderful person vice the horses tail
