A few years ago my son's church had a program for about three years where various members hosted a number of students from France for about a month each summer. All but a rare few had ever touched a firearm, much less shot one. We would take any/all that wanted to go to the range to give them the "experience", and most were anxious to go. It was a blast to see the look on their faces as they transitioned from a .22 rifle to a 30-30 to a 12 ga.,and then a .22 pistol/revolver to 9mm to .45 acp. Towards the end of their month visit at least half of them wanted most to repeat that "event" from their stay, which included a trip to a Rangers Baseball game, Six Flags, shopping and other more "social events". So, it ain't all lost yet

the dems are really pushing for the "American Spring" .... kind of like a rebirth of the 60's in a more modern way. Don't y'all understand that the 17-25 year age group is where the real leadership is. They should rule the world.
