How similar are those two guns? Target Master had a CW9 for rent (which I really liked and was quite accurate with), but not a CM9 or PM9.

actually they are very similar... the CM having about a half inch shorter grip (one less round in the standard mag) and a half inch shorter barrel. The half inch doesn't sound like much, but side by side it's pretty dramatic. As someone stated above, the CM9 is almost identical to the PM9.... mostly cosmetic or non-essential differences compared to the cost savings. Also, both the CW and CM can be fitted with night sights if one so desires. I installed the Trijicon night sights on my CW9 in January 2010, shortly after they came out. I'm planning on the XS BigDot front sight for the CM eventually....when I quit spending so much time with the wheel guns

as much as I despise plastic guns, they do have their place. I have both the CW9 and it's little brother CM9, and love both for the niche they fill. I don't care for pocket carry, but on some occassions I do "boot carry", and the CM9 fits the bill perfectly. This past February for my CHL renewal I actually opted to use my CW9 rather than any of the others that I tend to shoot much better. I figured since the CW9 has gotten more "social carry time" than the Kimber or others in the last 3 years, I should be honest with myself and shoot what I carry most. I was more than pleased with a 240. I can't say that I shoot the CM9 as well as the CW9, but I have put very few rounds through the CM thusfar. Having gotten into revolver reloading I've spent most of my ammo budget on the "magnums" over the last couple of years.

As far as "wonder nines" go, make mine Kahr.
