actually they are very similar... the CM having about a half inch shorter grip (one less round in the standard mag) and a half inch shorter barrel. The half inch doesn't sound like much, but side by side it's pretty dramatic. As someone stated above, the CM9 is almost identical to the PM9.... mostly cosmetic or non-essential differences compared to the cost savings. Also, both the CW and CM can be fitted with night sights if one so desires. I installed the Trijicon night sights on my CW9 in January 2010, shortly after they came out. I'm planning on the XS BigDot front sight for the CM eventually....when I quit spending so much time with the wheel guns
