I had a KT Sub2K 9mm with Beretta mags for a while. It was a great shooter. Even with the rather frail looking front sight blade you could keep all shots minute of pie plate at 50 yards. One of my best friends had a Ruger 9mm rifle that would not shoot any where near as well as the KT. I have heard about the same stories of reliability and accuracy (same as KT) concerning the ugly as mud Hi-Point carbine. Sure won't lose much money trying one anyway.
(personally I want a Beretta Storm, but it wouldn't be any more practical for me than the Hi-Point would)

not yet, but I have seriously considered one as a "fun gun". When 9mm ammo was under $4 per box it would have been a lot more fun though!
