That's why I haven't bothered to reply to those people. The way some of them are trying to pick a fight I don't think the were paying attention when they took the CHL class. If they took the CHL class.

Now that's funny.

and I think I will certainly follow my own advice and not have a battle of wits with the unarmed. It just would not be the gentlemanly thing to do.

Dude, the insult wasn't shot your direction  And, I hope Mr Rothstein recognized when I first posted the statement about a "battle of wits" that it was NOT directed at him. I've been around the forums long enough to spot potential trouble makers, and hoped the "Don't Feed the Trolls" sign would come out.

Anyway, I agree, lets get back to the original posters question and his original request for information ;-)

it might be best to just let it go. I don't think that "calling out" someone for confrontation is the proper way to handle the situation. I still believe that the old adage of "never have a battle of wits with the unarmed" fits this case well.

Re: Prior suspension of 2nd Amendment Rights questions

I saw the original request for information in exactly the same light as Frankie. Obviously, anyone with even minimal experience concerning firearms and the current politicization of gun ownership and constitutional rights has an understanding of the daily infringement of individual rights. It was my understanding that the original question was directed more at the attack on collective rights of an entire community by an overzealous government action, similar to Katrina or the LA riots as mentioned.

I have been trying to remember what little bit I learned about the uprising of WWI Veterans (in the 1930's???) concerning overdue benefits. I was thinking that also led to some serious action leading to martial law and firearms confiscation?

Just my take though!

Re: Prior suspension of 2nd Amendment Rights questions

The analogy of Katrina led me to believe the original poster was referring to conditions similar to those imposed by martial law.
