I recently got a security system for my house and it has a "panic" code say if you're home and a burglar breaks in and the alarm goes off and he forces you to turn it off before the sirens start (that like 1 minute you have to put in the code when you come home) you put in a certain code (configurable) and it turns off the alarm but turns on the two way speaker connected through a cell phone module within the alarm itself so the alarm guys can listen in and call the cops for you, I thought it was pretty neat.
