Ah the Wally Walk, an interesting beast it is!

So it started out with me and the wife unit going to the 2:00 showing of Harry Potter which didn't have me too uncomfortable then we went for a stroll around the mall since they had a craft type fair thing going on inside and I kept tugging at the back or my shirt to make sure that it didn't ride up over my crossbreed supertuck we walked around for a bit bought 3 fabric books for the kids then went to Wal-Mart. I was walking around seemingly constantly tugging at the back of my shirt. Wife looked at clothes while I walked over to sporting goods to look for .40 FMJ ammo, they had none of course so I went and found a new belt that fit better while wearing the holster. I then found my wife and pushed the cart around clothes forever checked out and came home. It was successful and no one walked up to me asking me what was poking out of my shirt so that's good :)

Good bye waiting room! Application in hand! But the website still shows processing. Now I just have to reapply in 4 years 355 days :)

edit: And as we were talking about in the other thread I looked out the window to see the UPS van parked then looked out the peep hole to see him walking up, I opened the door before he even knocked

YES!!!! DPS just called me (at 5:11pm) and overnighted me my license I'll have it by 10:30am tomorrow (friday)! woot woot!

I wait with bated breath for the UPS man so that I can harrass him for my license and do my wally walk. I think I need to go shopping tomorrow for milk or other things or to go walk around

My b-day is the 7th so I almost have the full 5 years

Things that have happened since applying for CHL: Ordered smart carry holster, bought Taurus .40 cal, bout walther p22, bought crossbreed supertuck, where's that dang license?

I say they change the system and pay them per Background Check completed, or give them a bonus for each they complete!

I'm waiting for the one person to get assaulted while waiting past the 90 days for a CHL application where a firearm would have saved them or their family bodily injury, I'm sure Cotton would be all over that!

I want to know why it takes DPS months to do a background check on you, but when a cop pulls you over and does a background check it takes minutes?

I'm so far in love with Senator Joan Huffman, sent an e-mail to her office at 6:20 and in less than 12 minutes had a reply from one of her aides saying that they would contact DPS for me <3

I'm a Feb applicant. I'm on day 90. Contacted State Rep, Email DPS, Answer is " Waiting on Background check to come in, there is nothing else we can do for you" ....I wouldnt be mean by the way, unless you really dont mind waiting forever. I don't see why I have to play nice and follow all the rules when the people that work at the CHL license place breaks the law all the time, most people would be fined for this type of behavior but because they are the DPS they get off willy-nilly and I don't see why I should have to pay because they are too cheap to hire people to get these licenses done in a timely manner as prescribed by law.

Today's my 60th day from their reciept I plan on being mean and contacting my rep tomorrow
