Austin & San Antonio: Consider scheduling breakfasts w/ forum folks.

Today, we in the "Dallas" side of town met for one of our standard "2nd Saturday" breakfasts at Frisco, Rudy's BBQ. We had 8 in attendance.

The "Fort Worth" side of DFW meets the 3rd Saturdays (Arlington, Tarrant County, Rudy's BBQ) and 4th Saturdays (Hudson Oaks, Parker County, Manny's Cafe next to the Stove Shop, exit 415 off I-20).

All our 3 Saturdays we meet at 800 AM, and talk for hours over breakfast.

My understanding is that the Houston folks meet on Friday mornings. Although to me, that would seem to skew their attendees to retired folks, since most people work Monday to Friday. Maybe their breakfasts are shorter in duration.

It seems that with the large populations of the Austin and San Antonio areas, that breakfasts once a month or more would expand your friendships with other members of the forum. You can have much more dynamic conversations when you meet IRL.

The Rudy's BBQ sites and Manny's are great because they have plenty of seating, and if we occupy one or more tables for hours, we don't get the stink eye since they can't "turn" the table. Rudy's has 2 breakfast burritos and bottomless coffee for $7.33. What's not to like?

If any of you forum friends from either Travis or Bexar counties would like to get the ball rolling on these breakfasts, please open a new thread, and state the Saturdays (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th) that you would like to get together, as well as the site. The site should have a lot of seating, and open carry would be preferred.

Happy trails.
