I saw this article in the 4/19/2015 Dallas Morning News.

Prosecutors are generally averse to prosecuting LEO's, partly because LEO's and DA's are usually allies,
but also because juries are likely to identify with LEO's as people who must use violence in the performance
of their duties. Convictions aren't always gained after lengthy trials.

There are short summaries of the shooting details, and the verdicts. The Texas cases involve LEO's in
Garland, Austin, and Bastrop.
