Although Mass has been rabidly anti-2A in previous years, more carry permits than ever are being approved. The above link is from the Brockton, Mass "Enterprise" newspaper, and details how many permits have been approved by many South Shore towns. The South Shore extends southward from Boston, starting in Quincy, all the way down to Plymouth, Mass.

The above link details the further loosening of the awards of "Class A" permits, which are roughly equivalent to a Texas CHL. I know, I say "roughly", since Mass is still considered a "may issue" state. But at least it's not as bad as it was some years ago.

One of the problems for Mass 2A fans is that they can only buy firearms on the state-approved list. Home state brands like Kahr and Smith and Wesson are fine, but don't try to carry a Springfield Armory or a Taurus.
