The town of Edcouch is 15 miles from McAllen (Rio Grande Valley), Texas.

This story is disconcerting because it seems to have all the earmarks of a "south of the border" crime.

Maybe none of us go to cockfights, but the presence of this level of violence on the Texas side of the border
may serve as a reminder to carry 24/7.
