Somewhat along the same story line (stupid criminals with guns), I was listening to a long interview the
other day with a Mr. _____________ Calabrese, Jr. of Chicago, Illinois. He was part of a Mafia family and
went to prison, but eventually started working for the Feds. He ended up convicting his own father, uncle Nick,
and other Mafia figures.

He has a book coming out called "Operation Family Secrets" (or close to that name).

He recounted the story of his Uncle Nick's "hit" on another Mafia guy who was trying to steal their loansharking
customers. The intended victim was in the driver's seat. Uncle Nick pulls out his gun to shoot the driver dead (I assume that
they were parked). Uncle Nick was sitting in the right front seat of the car. When the driver saw that he was
about to be shot, chaos reigned in the car. Shots were fired by Nick, but not initially successfully.

In all the commotion, Uncle Nick shot himself in the arm! Then he had to exit the car to run after the intended
victim, who he shot in the head on the street.

This story is not credible. Guns are not allowed in the UK.
