The above link is the first page of a gripping shootout story between a Murietta, CA LEO and a BG.
This is the digital version of the latest American Handgunner magazine, and is authored by
Mr. Massad Ayoob.

Quick summary: LEO was footchasing a Vietnamese gangbanger, at night, who was about to do a home invasion
on a Vietnamese business woman.

BG opens fire first with an 8 + 1 Sig Sauer P220, a .45 pistol, unknown what ammo was being shot.
LEO returns fire with his Glock 21, a 13 + 1 in .45 ACP, loaded with Corbon 185 grain +P, JHP's.

BG hits LEO with only 1 round of his 9, striking the LEO in the thigh with a through and through shot.
The bullet was not recovered.

The LEO hit the BG with 7 rounds of .45, out of the 14 he fired. The BG lived. The LEO was disappointed
with the ammo he had used. One round hit the BG in the arm, but did not continue on to his COM.

The LEO had 14 rounds and was able to best the 9 rounds that the BG had.

After this incident the LEO switched to using Speer Gold Dot JHP's in .45, 230 grains.
