Re: No longer a fan of The Bullet Trap

Doc's is anice little shop. I was able to find some older grips there once. Didn't know the name of the place, thanks. THey also had some nice carry holsters and the gunsmith there was very friendly.

Re: No longer a fan of The Bullet Trap

I think it's rediculous that they won't sell ammo unless you do range time. Nothing like adding a $20 charge for a lane on top of their already inflated ammo prices. I stopped doing business there a long time ago after I ordered a lower direct from Bushmaster only to have Bullet Trap remove all the mats, catalogs, stickers and other items from my box and then tell me they took them because it wasn't on my list of incoming items........bull!!!!

I don't care how many ranges are going out of business...........The way BT does business, it will be on the way out too. A gun shop denying sale of ammo? Gimme break. Especially after you bought a pistol there? Just how do they expect you to be able to use it? Pathetic, really. If you really wanted to I guess you could rent a lane and buy all the ammo you want (within their restrictions, of course). Then, go shoot off a mag full and take the rest home. There's a guy on Beretta Forum that sells ammo in the classified section. His screen name is SCGunGuy. He has great deals on Winchester Ranger 50 round boxes in most calibers. Check him out, it's good ammo and I'll vouch for his integrity.

Maybe BT is learning to do business from CheaperThanDirt now??
