Re: Hunt ISD teachers can now carry
I've heard from the inside that Lubbock ISD and Floyadada are also seriously considering the Guardian program. I don't know how far along they are, who will be allowed, or if it will even be adopted.
I don't have any media references for the schools I listed but I do have personal/professional knowledge. New Home and Forsan have signs posted that the staff are armed.

I removed Whittharrel. My understanding was the Superintendent was the only one carrying. I believe they have a new Super now so I do not know the status. I'll see if I can chase it down.

Morton - I heard they were (or were going to) but there was a change in leadership so I don't know the current status.

Over 170 School Districts have chosen to arm staff. Kudos to them and I hope Charles is successful in getting legislation passed in 2019 similar to the Church Security Bill.
Do you have a source for the "170"? Better, a list of school districts?
I was researching this a couple years ago, and at that time found news articles about 35 or so districts, and an article that said there were 78 districts that had "adopted the guardian program." I would love to think there's been 100 districts added.
Here's the list I compiled then:

Ok, that was more than a couple years ago, it was...5. Yikes time flies

Re: Hunt ISD teachers can now carry
I know of a couple of more but they have not gone "public" so I will respect their privacy until it breaks in the news or otherwise becomes public knowledge. I suspect there are many more ISDs operatiing on the quiet. Especially some of the smaller, rural schools.

Re: Hunt ISD teachers can now carry
One private school in Lubbock, Trinity Christian School, has allowed teachers with a license to carry a concealed handgun for a couple of years, and others are considering it.
