An undershirt isn't my preferred carry but it does work. I like it better than the Smartcarry (which I own).

I have one of the 5.11 Undergear Conceal Carry shirts. It works well with my Sunday button up shirt and slacks. It is not the fastest but the gun is secured in a pocket under the arm, magazines under the other arm.

While I'd still suggest that you find a traditional type of holster, this may be a alternative way to carry.

Now if I can just solve the same problem you're having with my wife.......
