Re: My Nephew was killed last night, please pray.....
Lord, please help this family find comfort. In their darkest hour, please open their eyes to see You right there alongside them with a shoulder to lean on and, yes, to cry on as well. I pray for Your peace that passes all understanding to descend on this family. We know that when all others seem to ...

Re: EOTech vs. Aimpoint
I like aimpoints and redheads. You might like blondes and Eotechs. Whatever your preference, train, train, and train some more (with the sight, that is). The only way to go wrong with one of these sights is to buy it, mount it, put it in the safe and never practice with it. If the dark day comes whe...

Have fun with your rifle. The AK is a fine weapon.

Seecamp .32 in very good condition. Box, paperwork, one and a half boxes of ammo, and Kramer pocket holster included. $400 firm or trade for similar value. These are very high quality pistols. I have not fired a complete box of ammo through this pistol. FTF only in or near DFW area. I will not ship,...

Re: Mini-30 as first tactical rifle?
Used to woods hunt in Louisiana with a mini-30. A lot of folks used shotguns and 30/30's hunting with dogs. I think the mini 30 is a good fit when you need a fast handling carbine. Don't know why the same attributes would not make it a good tactical rifle. I like the SKS, but the ranch rifles have (...

Re: If you could only own one Sig, which would it be?
P229R has accessory rail. Opt for night sights and Crimson Trace grips. 9mm or 40. The 357 is a good round, but the other calibers have better ammo availability. I am making gun decisions now that take ammo availability assumptions into account. I would probably choose whichever caliber I already ow...

I yielded to this addiction about 28 years ago. There are very few things that compare to the beauty of an elegant 1911. 230 grains at around 850fps inspires confidence.

Re: Range review
Congrats on the new pistol. I have been a big CZ75 fan for years. There are a few others that I prefer for various reasons, but none feel better in my hand than the CZ.

Re: Bad factory ammo
Bad factory ammo is rare, but I had some Fed Hydra shoks a few years ago with cases slightly crushed. I take a harder look at all ammo now.
