Wow, that's just insane.

I cant stand Chase because of how difficult they make the most basic transaction for any non account holder
Just cashing a check at Chase is a HUGE pain. Stand in line at the teller - just to be told you have to "Talk " to a "Banker"
Then explain why you dont have an account, actively refuse the sale pitch and the personal questions. What should be a 2 min transaction turns into 20 min.
Looking for other options - preferably ones that have locations nation wide

Did you offer them a driver's license & CHL as the two forms of ID?

Re: BofA Boots McMillan Rifles: We Don't Want Your Business
Chase refused to accept my CHL as a valid form of ID. I was a long time account holder, was trying to get a cashier's check cut for $6k. Escalated it up to the branch manager. They gave me all the usual runaround excuses, then finally said 'it's our policy'.
They were happy to take a VISA card as an alternate ID.
I moved all my accounts over to Wells Fargo the next week. They were happy to accept my CHL.

We've been with Chase for going on 10 years, and I haven't seen or heard anything to date that tells me they aren't 2A friendly.RottenApple wrote:Chase? Since when and what are they doing? I've banked with Chase for years. Never a 30.06, not even a gun buster sign. I know several of their bankers who carry, even when working; My business banker being one of them (he's a 1911 nut like me )OldCannon wrote:There are plenty of other places that want his business. Chase and BofA are pretty well-known for being unfriendly to the firearms industry.
