It's frustrating when those closest to you scorn your feelings &heart preferences to be prepared. I'm thankful that my wide kept such feelings to herself... and eventually wound up with a CHL & carries daily! I'd suggest keeping a calm, steady demeanor about the issue, and go on w your daily life w. EDC without making too big a deal about it. Avoiding a mall ninja vibe will eventually (I hope) start to discredit her 'paranoid' representation.

I guess you could always start sneering at her every time she fastens her seat belt, and calling her paranoid, too

I saw that, very sad story.
