Re: fire at Top Gun
Glad to hear that it was not as serious as the TV news report. They said that the heat was so bad that they had to bring in a metro bus for the firefighters to cool off. I guess that was just the Houston heat, not heat from the fire of the ammo. Amazing how different the live account is from the TV ...

fire at Top Gun
The local news reported a fire at the Top Gun range in Houston last night. It said that firefighters couldn't even go in since ammo was going off. I couldn't find any updates on the Houston Chronicle website. Just wondering if anyone has any updates.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Where can I find Ballistol in the Houston area?
Has anyone see Ballistol, Weapon Shield, or Gunzilla for sale in the Houston area? I've tried Academy, Bass Pro shop, Carter Country, but no luck. I even tried a few hardware store for Ballistol, but no luck. Along the same line, anyone see Mpro 7 in a size larger than 4oz locally? Just wanted to ma...

Re: $90/1000?!?
I was looking for small pistol primers at the Reliant Gun Show. I didn't expect to see any since I went on Sunday. Shockingly enough, they had a box of 1000 left. The price was $49 so I just left it there...

small / large rifle and small pistol primers
Carter Country had these Wednesday afternoon. They limited small pistol to 1000 and small / large rifle to 300. I didn't ask if they had large pistol.

Re: An Alternative to ordering supplies
Are you sure about this part? They quote that it is a $20 hazmat fee per package. If you order SP and SR primers and they ship seperately, Would they charge you one shipping fee, but two hazmat fees?CWOOD wrote:it is still just one $20 hazmat fee for the whole order.
thanks!

Re: texas chl shooting practical
This is interesting. Is the scoring for passing / failing something that each instructor can decide on themselves? This instructor who had the scoring I listed above wouldn't even left the students keep their targets. I wonder why he scored the tests the way he did? The people who failed were told t...

Hi, Did the scoring for the shooting portion of the test change recently? When I took it years ago and when I did the renewal last year, hits in the 7 ring and hits on the non-white part of the target both counted toward the score. I remember the scoring like this: 8,9 and 10 rings = 5 points 7 ring...
