Re: Anyone Else Remember Gibsons?
The Kerrville store is everyone’s favorite place to visit, let alone shop. Very friendly staff. We like Candy and Wanda at the registers, and Mr. Buddy knows everything about everything. Good selection of firearms and ammo, and they’ve sold THREE of those crazy 9mm Gatling guns in the last couple y...

Re: TX LTC Target
I think the PC police got involved too. Something along the lines of "rewarding for head shots." I know a lot of ranges dont allow "headshots" and a few of them allow you to do head shots but only if you turn the target upside down. (kinda stupid in my opinion) but to each their...

Re: Just checking... Current renewal process
I renewed online this year as well. Checked a couple of times and I didn't require any new documents. The longest part of the wait/updates was at the background check status. I think overall, it took 3 weeks to go online until the new license was at my house.

Re: 147th Annual NRA Meeting in Dallas
I'm only dismayed by the fact that as a carrier, I have to be disarmed either then entire time at the convention, or leave the firearm in the vehicle for the speaking event. The folks going via the Mugger Mover (DART), don't have such an option. Be funny if they had a good ol' gun-check, like the d...

So, which local is going to fill out the "unlawful posting" form? http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=79315 To the OP, a friend of mine really likes the Blackhawk Diversion Carry Slingpack: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00AVX8HAG/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&...

Nice letter. It will probably fall on deaf ears, but it'd be nice if it didn't.
I have written two such letters and gotten the canned responses of "we want all our customers to feel safe" nonsense.

Re: Taco Cabana Open Carry
TC in my neck of the woods still has the "courtesy" sign. I like the Taco Cabana approach. I am still somewhat insulted by 30.07 signs as I view them as a dress code enforced by the police power of the State, unlike (presumably) other dress codes. I view it as "protect the snowflakes&...

Re: Your gun is gonna just GO OFF!
I think that the Eddy Eagle program sorta implies this to very young children. People get it in their heads that if they don't know what they are doing that they shouldn't be touching these things. There's a lot of people playing with these things getting themselves and other people hurt. The peopl...

Re: signs; Armed robbers terrorize suspects in Sugar Land
The signs did what they were supposed to do: keep law-abiding licensed armed citizens out. "To go in with that many people, especially now that people can carry guns, I think that was very bold," said Stavinoha. Minor correction to this part of the story. It is not brazen at all to choose ...

Re: walmart asking for chl
I don't know the licensee aspect of the TABC laws, but to me, the blue sign put the burden on the weapon carrier, not the store: "It is unlawful to carry a weapon on the premises unless the person is licensed to carry the weapon under the concealed handgun law." "The unlicensed posses...

Re: Will Perry's CHL Be Suspended?
When I normally thought of Class A or B, I always thought of a violent crime where the suspension made some sense to me. But for non-violent, non-gun related crime like this Perry nonsense? Suspending because of that...that's a bit of a stretch. I thought we were innocent until PROVEN guilty. I feel...
