Seem to me that the RIGHT thing to do was to leave the kid alone since his shirt did NOT violate school policy. If they don't like the school policy, they are free to change it in the future, but you cannot punish the kid, who had not violated the current school policy, just because you don't like the NRA. Government dropped charges. Seemed to me to be the wise thing to do. Course the wise thing to do if you didn't like the Tshirt and he refused to turn it inside out was to keep him in the principals office till his parents came. Not call the police.
