I don't think it was his point that it is NOW illegal to do. The bill says that after 90 days, you will be a felon if youmanufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine

It is not a federal crime to sell a gun to a resident of another state. It is done daily.
