Hey, maybe they can also add a detector that will shut down the car as soon as the lipstick or mascara is removed from a woman's purse while driving. Also, could add another that will prevent you from driving if there is bag of fast food inside the car, or if you attempt to use your cell phone while driving. How about one that detects hot coffee. Or if you attempt to shave while driving. How about opening a book? Or one that detects if you are depressed or angry.rp_photo wrote:http://blog.chron.com/newswatch/2012/03 ... 016f5f5025
I find this reply to be scary and very much of the Sarah Brady mindset:
It's funny that he disses Liberals at the end, because proposing mandatory breatalyzers is the epitome of Liberal insanity. It is clear that the people are not going to use common sense when drinking and that the possible punishments for their actions does not detour them from driving after drinking. It is time that there is a law that requires every vehicle to be equipped with an on-board breathalyzer and the vehicle will not start if the person is under the influence and it should be able to detect if they have been smoking pot as well. This needs to be inspected once a year at state inspection time. The device should have its on computer check and if not working properly the vehicle should not start. Also there needs to be stiff penalties, I prefer caning, but mandatory prison time because of the liberals, if it is in any way tampered with.
