Hey, maybe you two should get together and do some tradin'!
You'd both come away happy.

Re: Getting the Itch (again)
Congrats on finding one you like.stash wrote:I appreciate every ones input in helping me out on my first 1911 (maybe not my last) purchase. Looks like it is going to be the Kimber Custom II which is the one I handled the other day and liked because it felt real solid and very tight and the guy who owned it had not one complaint about it. Actually field stripped and cleaned it after my wife shot it last week. The fellow who is getting it for me said all his wholesalers are out of it right now but he will be checking every week or so. He is getting it for me for $673 + tax. Heck, who knows, maybe I will be getting rid of my Glocks and get a few more 1911's in the future.
As to your last comment, I seem to be going the other way. I had 2 1911s, then traded one for a Glock 19, now I'm considering trading the other one for a Glock 21.
To each their own, I hope your new 1911 treats ya right.

Re: Getting the Itch (again)
In the $600 range, a basic Springfield or Rock Island Tactical would be a nice "starter" 1911. Then you can always customize either of those later on if that itch hasn't been fully scratched.
