Hmm, that's a good point. This is a much different situation than the guy who assisted the cop in Brown county where the cop clearly needed assistance. Or the textbook case where an officer hollers for help. And, just to dig deeper with the law a little bit, it says we are justified in making a citizen's arrest when we witness a felony. But with this carjacking case, he really didn't witness the carjacking, did he?RSJ wrote:The way I read the story, the carjackers were fleeing away from the police. I still believe he did the right thing, but it seems like his justification came after the fact.
