Now I am shocked! Look at my sig line. In the mailbox today was an envelope from the DPS Regulatory Licensing Service. In disbelief I opened it up and found.... my Concealed Handgun License! I have it in my hands (which makes it hard to type, though.) The envelope is postmarked 4/16/2009. How they did the turn-around so quickly, I don't know.Blender wrote:You know, I was shocked, myself. Now, of course, it will probably be two or three more weeks before they get around to printing and mailing it.
I live in Tarrant county and wasn't at all sure they would do the background check quickly. I had hoped it would go faster since I have lived in the same place for lots of years and worked at the same location (also in Tarrant county) lots of years. But I wasn't counting on it.

Wow, I am legal to carry now! It is hard to believe.
Maybe this means they are getting caught up and the others will break loose, soon, too.
