Just got a new rifle case, only to discover I didnt read the fine print - it came with pluck and pull foam. Usually I throw p&p away - since it tends to fal apart as soon as you pull a square. Finances being what they are I did some research.
PLASTI-DIP
once you get your case cut out, grab a few cans of plasti dip and start soaking. The first coat should be heavy, the foam will soak it up. Once its dryish - hit it again.
After a few coats, set it out to dry for a FEW DAYS, trust me, this stuff stinks. Once its cured out the cuts in the blocks disappear, the edges stay crisp but it doesnt overly harden the foam.
Finished product reminds me of closes cell foam thats been cut with a hot blade.
